    1. According to the Governor this is not a good time to move if you could postpone the move this would be better. If this cannot wait then you have to figure out how you can do this through social distance. If you’re moving yourself that might be OK but the house you’re going to needs to clean and scrub down completely. The one thing I would like to emphasize is that the governor has signed an order that no one can be evicted during this time and he is asking all landlords to work with the tenant and postpone any rent due. You will still be required to pay back what is due however it is to be this postponed. And again no one can be evicted at this time if they are still trying to evict a family please call us and we can help.

  1. Thank you for reporting the updates every day here on the kycovid19 website. The info in the turquoise box is very helpful. Could you also post the number of people who had to be hospitalized and the daily numbers of people who have recovered? Thank you again.

    1. The question of how many people have been hospitalized and how many have recovered has been asked to the governor by several reporters. This is a very difficult answer due to the fact that we have several labs reporting at different times and the information comes in at different times and the number fluctuates. I’ve been told several times that they are working on a better system to gather this data.

Give her a call and tell her that you have equipment to donate. Every little bit helps, we definitely appreciate your donation.

    1. You are welcome and I hope you all are staying healthy and safe at home. Make sure you are following all the guidelines that the governor asked us to do. I know we will get through this together.

  2. Hello,

I have made several phone calls to varies of phone numbers. All of them have hang up on me. Why? I’m not sure, it’s possible because I was using the Video Relay Services. This is where I had an American Sign Language on the phone between me and the person. I am deaf and I required to use this service to communicate with anyone that does not know sign language. Now, who can I call? I have few questions and need to make some adjustments.

I have filed so my name is already in the system… however, I cannot find the document about my work for “Claimant Laid-Off due to COVID-19” I was laid off on March 16, 2020 because of COVID-19.

    Thank you

    1. I’ve talk to Josh Benton who is the deputy overseeing unemployment to make sure that individuals answering the phones are trained to answer the video calls as well. It may be that you’re having problems because so many people are calling please be patient and continue to call.

  3. Hello

I want to express a thank you and really appreciated that you are providing an ASL interpreter, Virginia Moore, during all that news for us to understand what’s happening during the COVID-19. All this information is important for the deaf and hard of hearing to understand. I do really hope that everyone is watching you. May I have a suggestion? Can you put a date on each video, so I know when it was aired? A friend of mine from Ohio sent me a website called “worldometer” and when I clicked on Kentucky – it showed me some of your news however it’s outdated – not current. So, if you add the dates on the screen, we can able to see if that’s the most recent or not.

I also want to say that I totally agreed with the governor about all the things he’s trying to order people around. For example – instead of going to another state and shop, everyone should be staying in Kentucky. I also completely agreed about staying home, being healthy, and all that. Also allowed us to leave for grocery, supplies store, and stop by the post office. My comment is that if you have nothing to do around your home and you’re bored… there’s so much to do like, cleaning your house, play various of online games, watch more movies, do some arts/crafts/sew. I have LOTS to do in my own home. Just the other day, I saw many children – possible from 3 to 4 families getting together. It makes me so nervous that what IF one of the children has it and might be spreading to others and/or us. If what I need to stop by my mailbox out front and one of the kids walked up to me? I don’t need to be sick. My first question that popped in my head was – why they aren’t listening to the governor!

Have a lovely stay at home and don’t get bored. If you do – Look around, there’s lots to do around your house that you may have not noticed.

    Stay safe

    1. We will try to go back and date all of the videos and will make sure we date the videos going forward thank you for the suggestion. Yes people should stay home be safe and follow the governors rules.

  4. What if I dont have anyone to watch my.child while I’m at work? I told my company and they fired me, can I draw unemployment?

    1. From Virginia Moore: During this time of the COVID-19 crisis and you can prove that the company fired you due to lack of childcare yes I believe you should apply for unemployment. I cannot however guarantee that you would qualify. I do know that the governor is encouraging everyone to apply during this crisis and be patient because there are lots of individuals applying now.

    1. Thank you for working hard to get this donation in as you know we can use every piece of equipment possible below is who you can call to get your PPE’s donated.
