Researchers from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign are studying how to enhance music experiences for people who are d/Deaf or hard-of-hearing. They are interested in understanding DHH people’s experience with a music-related mobile application. You are invited to participate in a one-week diary study where you will try out an app/device to help us understand your experiences with music.
After the diary study, you will participate in a follow-up interview about your experience that should take no more than 1 hour. For compensation, you will receive $15 for the diary study and $25 for the 1 hour interview. Your anonymous quotes will be used in future publications and presentations.
This research will be conducted following the guidelines and policies of University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s Institutional Review Board.
If you’re interested or want to learn more about the study, please fill out the screening survey.
